Torquay airport transfers
Torquay is one of the main gateways to the Great Ocean Road, and a lot of airport pickups start from holiday accommodation rather than permanent homes. You might be staying in a resort, apartment, holiday park or rental property in Torquay itself, or nearby in Jan Juc, Bells Beach or Bellbrae. We ask for the exact pickup address because those locations can make a real difference to the start of the journey.
Avalon Airport is much closer to Torquay than Melbourne Airport and can be a very convenient choice if the flight schedule works for you. Melbourne Airport is farther away, but it offers a much wider range of domestic and international services, so it will still be the better option for many travellers.
Torquay also has a strong surf and holiday market, which means luggage is not always standard. If you're travelling with surfboards, sports equipment, several large bags or child seats, add those details when booking so we can make sure the vehicle has enough room.
If you're staying at a hotel, holiday park or rental property, include the property name and full street address. Any useful access notes can also be added to the booking.
Private door-to-door transfers are available, along with shared shuttle services on selected journeys. For early flights, allow enough time for the full road trip and airline check-in rather than treating Torquay as though it were a Melbourne suburb.
Avalon Airport (AVV) is approximately 51 km from Torquay, with a typical road travel range of 42–61 minutes. Melbourne Airport (MEL) is approximately 109 km away and can be worth comparing depending on your airline and flight time.
